Our Sunday School runs from Labor Day through April, where kids gather from 10:05 to 11 AM. The session begins with all ages worshiping and singing together, followed by age-specific classes that delve into the “St John's Building Blocks of Faith“ curriculum. The program officially kicks off with Rally Sunday on the first Sunday after Labor Day, marking the start of the new school year. Monthly, on the third Sunday, the children's choir entertains the congregation. The school year concludes with a celebratory Fun Day. All activities are supported by our dedicated volunteers who keep everyone informed and connected.
Our Vacation Bible School is an exciting summer event held over three evenings, culminating in a special performance on the final night. This performance is a wonderful opportunity for children to showcase what they've learned to their parents and family, celebrating their faith and creativity in a joyful community gathering.
For students in 6th-8th grade. It is a 3 year program that meets weekly from Sept-April. Confirmation Sunday for our 8th graders, that have met the course requirements, is typically held the first Sunday in May. We focus on Jesus centered lessons to build a stronger relationship with our faith. As part of our yearly service project the Confirmation class helps maintain the Blessing Box. Currently led by Amber Gronewold & Amy Bear.
Students typically meet one Wednesday evening a month, along with other various activities throughout the month/year as well. Junior High youth members host meals for our congregation, participate in a yearly yard clean up, attend concerts, service projects (yard clean up, Meals from the Heartland), help with VBS, and other church events throughout the year.
